We the
undersigned Supervisors of the Hong Kong. Post Office do most respectfully beg to submit for your consideration the following:-- (1) That on the 9th June 1902 you were
graciously pleased to increase our salaries from £200 to £230, resing by triennial increments of £25 to £280.
But owing to the increase in the cast of living in this Colony (everything having advanced in price quite 25 per cent), we are again reluctantly compelled to approach you, with a view to your at least placing us on our maximum rate of hay, to enable us to maintain our families, and save sufficient, so that when our leave becomes due, we may have the means of paying
